Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American singer and actress is very famous. As a child she was subjected to racial taunts by American citizens of all races. It was in her ninth grade when she began to gain confidence after being highly praised during an audition. The event not only helped to boost her confidence, but also changed her outlook on life. In 1992 she graduated with her degree from New York's Julliard School. When she was 23, her first Broadway appearance in Paul Simon's The Capeman, and her debut film, You've Got Mail, were her biggest break. The character in The lad from The Lake became her biggest break, earning an award for her performance, an award called the Tony Award in addition to praise from critics for her performance. Following that, in 2007, she was cast on the ABC program Grey's Anatomy and became more well-known. As a well-known singer, she has also recorded an album and a musical. Also, she's spoken out in support of LGBT concerns.
